Freestyle modeling

Well today I just randomly decide to learn how to model a treasure chest today

I think it come out great and it use a lot beveling, insert edge loop tool and how to combine and detach part of the model.

I wonder if you can insert texture on to Maya. Well I'm sure you can but I just need to figure out how.

Self realization

Well I have technical difficulty with the computer today where the computer was frozen and I cant open Maya so it waste me half the class :P

and As I was working I just realize I enjoy coding than modeling does that mean I'm just more technical than visual? I mean Ideally I want to be able to do both.

Still straggle with the modeling I'll find some help during club

We watch a video about mermaid today and now I'm starting to believe that Mermaid is real @_@!
it is just such a convincing documentary whether it legit or not i don't know but it sure is good/
We also seen video about 3D printed gun (that actually fire) and realistic mask
although this technology is super cool and convenience there are many problems that it could cause I wonder how these issues will be deal with

I spend the rest of class putting blog together.

ThingyVerse

We were introduce to this new website today called "Thingiverse" it quite similar to shapeway but everything on here is free and you can take other people model can modify it yourself unlike shapeway where you could make money.

I really cool how it is open sources website and how everyone can contributed their own idea and add on to each other's so there much potential here, but i was wondering how do they protect these from being stolen despite having the term of agreement.

and here are something i found, it may not be coolest thing ever but just are thing i was interested in.

pretty much all anime and video game related but that is just what im interested in 

and working on the shapway project today it due next class and i didn't even start modelling yet argghh ! last minute panic!!!!!

Shapeway Project

Shapeway project continue today I complete the brief for the project and I just need to upload the sketch I did on to the blog and fix the mind map because I accidentally make a flow map instead.

We watch video / documentary about the advertising industry today and it was very inspiering to me it make me stop and realize something important the video mention that anything can be solve with creativity which is something I don't think I posses much of

it time to change that. I'm (attempting) to skip out of the box

Shape way project

We have the MYP meeting today and we have to make a virtual cork board for the project so I finish that and have Cornell show me how to start modeling the final product.

I just need to scan my picture on to the computer and have it line of so I can use it as reference picture.

so the is the base that Mr. Cornell make (he make it so fast >. < let see if I can figure it out next time)
